Story of the red jacket: at the time no patterns existed for the 2nd ST movie (The Wrath of Khan) in which the "Movie Jacket" appeared. After hunting down a pirated pattern out of Texas -- jacket was man-size 46 long. Got a girlfriend to scale down pattern for Jarred (age 7) leaving a little room for growth. Authentic reproduction with authentic materials. Took 9 mths to hunt down materials including all buttons, belts and medals and make -- but see how proud Jarred is.
